Turkey Cruise Suggestion: Gulf of Gökova
The cruise is perfect for all kind of groups. Every day you will check one or two different bays, explore a few nice villages and the most important thing you will cruise with not stress.
This is not a day – by day route description. It is merely an example of the places you can see inside a single week. The best part about the Blue Cruise holidays is that the routes are flexible. If you wish to stay at someplace for more days or if you do not like some town, you can just change it with the captain and go to the next destination.
To make it simple, here are some of the places you will experience. Let’s have a short presentation of the area – Gulf of Gökova.
You will start the cruise in Bodrum. Very interesting for shopping (lots of stores) and great for sightseeing (castle and archaeological sites). One of the most interesting towns in Turkey.
Seven Islands
Sedir Island – famous sandy beaches
This is only 1 part of the cruise. As mentioned above, one of the best things to do with gulets is to anchor in different bays and enjoying the natural beauty of Turkish coast, swimming in the turquoise blue sea, relaxing, reading a good book, having a lunch and move to another bay.
In the late afternoon, you can change another bay and prepare to overnight on the anchor. No crowds, only you and your friends chatting about memories, waiting for dinner to be prepared, having a glass of wine, listening to the music you like or you can go onshore and visit some villages – for example, Karacasogut.
There is also time for some archaeological sightseeing (if you would be interested of course). You can check ruins of Byzantines.
And talking about extra trips. Would like to have a mud bath?
If yes, then you have to visit Dalyan – Caunos, where you will also find some historical sights.
Old Theater in Caunos

What next?
If this is the route you like then the next steps are:
- determine which gulets (captains) can do this the best
- determine which gulets (out of this) will fit your budget the best
- determine how to organize food and drinks on board – you do not wish to spend a maximum amount of money on this, but an optimum amount of money. The difference can be very large.
