First Impressions of Anima Maris: A Yacht That Stands Out

Most recently, he stepped aboard yacht Anima Maris, one of the newcomers to the Goolets fleet, to see the quality and services it offers firsthand. Here is his honest review:

Thoughtful Design

“I cannot say this for many yachts, but Anima Maris surpassed my expectations (even now, during the off-season). She is meticulously designed down to the last detail. When I stepped aboard, I had the feeling I was on a yacht twice the size she actually is.

All spaces – on the main deck, below deck and sun deck – are truly spacious and comfortable. The aft sundeck (behind the transom table) is large and gives a lot of privacy.

Luxurious Interiors with a Personal Touch

When you enter the salon, the bar is right at the beginning giving an even more intimate and private feeling to the lounge area and the dining room behind it. From the salon, a separate staircase leads to the VIP cabin, while another set of stairs to the other 4 cabins as well as the Master cabin. The materials and colors in the interior were chosen really thoughtfully – giving a feeling of modern, unobtrusive luxury, which is by no means sterile.

Massive Cabins & Elevated Comfort

The cabins are HUGE! All of them, without exception, especially the VIP and the Master. A cool detail is that the VIP and Master cabins have separate men’s and women's toilets connected by a very large shared shower. Even in the other cabins, the showers are really big, and the toilets are much more comfortable than you usually see on such-type yachts. Of the remaining four cabins, two are double/twin convertible, and two are double non-convertible.

Crew Quarters & Behind-the-Scenes Excellence

From the salon, there is an entrance to the galley and the crew’s lounge, from which you enter the bridge and the captain's cabin. From the bridge, a stairway leads down to five crew cabins, each with bunk beds and its own bathroom - I've never seen such large crew cabins before!

Heading back along the main deck, there is a side dayhead and the entrance to the engine room, where, due to the really massive square footage, there is also a very spacious storage space, a laundry room, and two more crew cabins (even bigger than the ones in the bow). Usually, the female crew members usually sleep here, and the men in the bow cabins.

A Deck Built for Luxury & Relaxation

There is, of course, a jacuzzi on the sun deck, which will be upgraded to the infinity type. Forward to the bow, there is a large bar, a dining table, and two gigantic benches perfect for sunbathing. As you walk around the vast sun deck, it seems like it never ends.

Cutting-Edge Storage & Water Toys

The garage is three times larger than on any yacht this size. Except for the Jetski, all the water toys are stored there. A very interesting detail is that they have movable supports made for seabobs so they do not need to be carried outside - they just push them and they are outside. And another great detail - seabobs do not lie on the floor during winter, but have their own boxes.

Boarding Made Easy & Extra Safety Measures

The pasarella is thoughtfully located next to the aft lounge, so when you board you don't have to climb the side steps from the platform (which is by no chance an inconvenience), but you are immediately in the aft lounge. Anima Maris is one of the few that has a defibrillator onboard and in case a person is using a wheelchair this does not present any issue.”
