Can you introduce yourself and provide an overview of your role and responsibilities?
I'm Feride, Goolets' Turkey Destination Manager. With 34 years in the charter business, I ensure our guests experience personalized, tailor-made luxury. Partnering with Goolets 8 years ago, we focus on delivering authentic Turkish hospitality, a unique brand mark in our industry. What we do sets us apart from other charter agencies, ensuring every detail is curated for our guests' comfort and enjoyment.
Can you highlight Turkish hospitality's role in yacht charters and travel?
The Turkish hospitality is like being in your grandma's arms—authentic and heartfelt. It's not commercial; it's personal. Our focus is to infuse this warmth into every guest experience, so they can have the sense of a personal touch of Turkish hospitality (most authentic experience.)
What is your favourite destination or route for yacht charters?
For history buffs, the route from Göcek or Fethiye to Kaş – Kalkan – up to Kekova is one of my favorite. Because it has an inspiration of following the steps of antique Lycian civilizations. For those seeking relaxation, Göcek-Göcek is perfect, with short sailing distances and plenty of serene islands. We ensure our routes are meticulously planned and tailored to our guests' wishes, providing a bespoke experience that sets us apart from others.
What are the best, must-try local Turkish dishes?
Turkey offers a culinary paradise. From kebabs to Ottoman-inspired rice dishes, every meal is a delight with fresh, farm-to-boat ingredients which means all ingredients are really organic. Aboard every vessel, there is a talented chef who prepares exquisite dishes that reflect the rich flavors of Turkish cuisine.
Could you share your favourite yachts or gulets and explain what sets them apart from others?
