The intriguing history of one man and his boat

The story starts in a lovely house located in seafront in Marmaris near the harbor where you could hear the seagulls greeting the morning sun while waves are crashing into the shoreline. In that lovely house, our Captain lived his life. He grew up washing his face with sea water, and his passion for sea and sailing life grew with him over time.

Still today even in the winter times he jokes around “I much rather prefer to wash my face with sea water…”

During his precious childhood and youth, he learned from his father to catch fish, clean, and how to predict the stormy weather by looking the clouds and following the signs of the changing color of the sea that show storm will come.

Captain Mustafa as a child would sneak to fathers boat and sometimes would escape into the freedom of the sea without his father knowing.

He was always looking for something new, something daring and that lead him to first sailing experience on fathers old cacique (rowboat). Later on, it came time to secure his life and try something challenging. Marmaris, his hometown, was typical fisherman village back then and tourism was not so popular as it is now. But his family house was still existing and he made a decision to renovate it and open a market for fishermen’s needs. However, only a few boats were sailing then, doing short distance transfer services for the tourists.

In the beginning; earning money from that was satisfactory but as time went by, Captain said; “My family home turned into a market and became a sort of my prison.” He admits: “Most of the time I would find myself dreaming of sailing in the turquoise waters as I used to in the past.”

Because business he was leading was very static – he would just have to sit and wait for few clients whole day, he realized that that is not the job he wants to do till rest of his life! After one regular day at work he made a promise to himself that; “One day in the future I will watch this market and the land from the sea and I will proudly tie my boat’s line just in front of this market.”

He got in action and rented his market to one of his relatives and started building his boat full of enthusiasm and endurance with the flame from youth ignited in him. He worked hard with his own hands and with help of others his dream finally came true in 2008!

The new gorgeous boat got a family surname and gulet Yüce Bey 1 was born! From the first day, Yüce Bey 1 launched to the water he has been her captain and he kept a promise he made to himself and tied her just in front of his home which today is part of his boat owner company’s building.

Each cabin also has its own private bathrooms, TV, DVD and air conditioning which makes your stay extra comfortable. The crew also has their own private space, away from the guests in additional separated cabins so everyone has their own privacy.

Salon area has AC and a dining table but when days are nice it would be a shame not to eat outside. However if by any chance weather gets bad you have a beautiful indoor space to hang out.

However not only does it offers high-quality layout and furnishings in the interior, but it also offers a spacious large deck area. There you will an outdoor dining area and an air-conditioned lounge. In case of the bad weather, your meals will be served in beautifying decorated saloon area. You can completely unwind and enjoy I summer days on large sundeck that provides enough sunbathing mats for all 10 guests on board.

The whole crew is extremely proud of what they provide for their guest, so, for example, they do stuff like catching fresh fish during the cruise for your next dinner. Activities on board

Your stay will be full of activities, depending on your preferences. A vast range of waters sports will be available on board. Some of them include Banana, Canoe, Fishing Equipments, Snorkelling Equipments, Wakeboard, Water Ski and Windsurf… There is also a 70 Hp speedboat at your service at all times. You can, of course, ask our gulet experts in advance for any extra water sports that can be added to the mix.
