A Recap of Goolets' Presence at the Monaco Yacht Show
The Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) is one of the most prestigious events in the global yachting industry, and for good reason. Set against the glamorous backdrop of Monaco's Port Hercules, the event brings together yacht enthusiasts, industry professionals, and luxury connoisseurs from all over the world.
Goolets had the privilege of attending, and it was an experience packed with stunning vessels, key meetings, and valuable networking opportunties.
Yachts, Meetings, and Iconic Designers
The first day of the show was a whirlwind of excitement. We began with a visit to the beautiful Serenissima, a timeless superyacht designed by the renowned Dan Lenard, whom we were fortunate to meet in person. Lenard's work is widely respected in the industry, and seeing his designs up close made for an inspiring start to the show.
From there, it was a day full of networking, and catching up with the agents we regularly collaborate with. We kicked things off with a meeting with the team from Next Yachting, and later in the day, we had lunch with Cam and Hally from Superyacht.
Meeting up with Pierrik from Fraser Yachts was another highlight, followed by a visit to Fraser’s stand for more in-depth discussions. At the Monaco Yacht Show, every minute counts, and with so many brokers and agencies present, it was an ideal opportunity to check in with existing partners and new contacts.
Building Relationships and Making New Contacts
While most of the yachts at MYS are there for sale rather than charter, the event remains a critical space for networking with charter-focused agencies. Many of the brokers and agents at the show were incredibly busy meeting potential clients. Still, Goolets made sure to visit the stands of charter departments and agencies to strengthen our relationships.
One thing that stood out is how much our presence on social media resonated with the brokers we met. Even those who hadn’t worked with us before recognized the Goolets' name, proving that our efforts in the digital space are paying off. It's always encouraging to know that people in the industry remember us, whether they've met us in person or seen our online content.
Exclusive Experiences: Yachts, Parties, and VIP Access
Exploring the yachts themselves was, of course, one of the highlights of MYS. Two particular vessels left a lasting impression: the Amaryllis, a yacht owned by a Russian oligarch and the former chairman of the Bank of Moscow, and M, a yacht that boasts both a helicopter and a plane onboard - truly a spectacle of luxury and engineering.
But the real pinnacle of the day came when we gained access to the exclusive VIP section of the Yacht Club de Monaco. This members-only area offered a glimpse into the upper echelons of yachting society, where business deals and collaborations are often forged in a more relaxed, luxurious setting.
The evening was topped off with an invitation to a party on one of the yachts, allowing us to "mingle" with industry insiders in a more casual environment. These informal settings are often where the most productive conversations happen, and we took the opportunity to discuss future projects and encourage them to start booking for the 2026 season - something that left many agents impressed about how we do it.
Looking Ahead: Croatia and Beyond
One of the key topics of conversation during our meetings was the future of yachting events, particularly those in Croatia. Many agents were eager to learn more about what Goolets has planned - questions abounded regarding the yachts we plan to showcase and whether we’ll be hosting any special events. The interest in Croatian yachting continues to grow, and we’re excited to see how this translates into future bookings and partnerships.
Final Thoughts
Attending the Monaco Yacht Show was an unforgettable experience for the Goolets team. From exploring some of the world’s most luxurious yachts to strengthening our relationships with key partners, MYS provided invaluable opportunities to grow our network and enhance our position in the yachting industry.
As we look forward to the future, we’re more excited than ever about what’s in store for Goolets, from new partnerships to upcoming events in Croatia and beyond. One thing is clear: the luxury yacht industry is thriving, and Goolets is ready to continue sailing at the forefront of it.
