Goolets at The Cannes Yachting Festival 2024
From September 10th to 15th, 2024, Goolets had the privilege of attending the prestigious Cannes Yachting Festival in France. As the premier event in the global yachting calendar, the festival stretched across two iconic locations, featuring nearly 700 boats on display and exhibitors representing the biggest names in luxury yachting. The festival served as a vibrant backdrop for networking, deepening relationships with partners, and expanding our reach in the yachting industry.
For Goolets, this prestigious environment set the stage for productive meetings with industry leaders, agents, and brokers, further solidifying our presence as a prominent yachting partner.
Strategic Partnerships and Broker Engagements
The first day was packed with high-value meetings, starting with Sarah Piggins from Northrop & Johnson. We introduced her to our fleet and explored deeper cooperation opportunities, ensuring she was well-acquainted with our unique proposals. Meetings like these are crucial for aligning our approach and establishing long-term partnerships.
Our conversation with Louis Bunce from Ocean Independence was especially productive, as Louis knew our vessels well. We addressed challenges from a previous booking and refined our processes. This resulted in an immediate reservation confirmation for the yacht Queen Eleganza, a significant step toward seamless future collaborations.
Next, we met with Sally and her team at TWW. Although the agency is familiar with our work, new brokers require detailed presentations to fully grasp our capabilities. Additionally, we hosted a highly successful Zoom meeting with Burgess, where almost 40 brokers participated. We are proud to have secured our first booking with them, and the enthusiastic response from their team promises exciting collaboration opportunities ahead.
Among the yachts visited on the first day were Annamia, Kudos, and EH2, each offering inspiration for future charters and partnerships.
Strengthening Ties and Expanding Our Network
The second day opened with Claire Mason from Edmiston, one of the most respected agencies in the industry. While we had not yet formalized any bookings, the detailed presentation of our fleet and services left Claire enthusiastic about future possibilities.
We also met with Giverny from Mortlock Yachts, with whom we had successfully booked the yacht Freedom earlier in the year. This meeting reinforced our cooperation and sparked new opportunities as Giverny introduced two additional colleagues to our proposals.
Another key meeting was with Tanguy Clement from Yachting Concept Monaco. Their marketing-focused plans, alongside new agents from Next Yachting, open exciting potential for broader visibility and engagement. Additionally, we had a fruitful in-person meeting with Paula Conroy from Rogerson Yachting, a relationship first fostered on LinkedIn.
In the evening, we met with Helm - one of our most important partners. Peter, the owner, expressed strong interest in securing as many available dates as possible for 2025, showing their commitment to building an even stronger relationship with Goolets.
New Possibilities and Long-Term Engagements
Our third day at the festival started with a productive conversation with Elsa Kassis from Camper & Nicholson. While we had worked with Elsa before, the meeting revealed the need for a stronger presence on platforms like Yacht Folio, to ensure brokers keep Goolets top-of-mind. We scheduled an online presentation to further align with her team and strengthen our partnership.
In the afternoon, we met with Rezida and Tanya Kovaleva from Allied Yachting, exploring their power catamaran Wider together and initiating the next steps for future bookings.
Yachts visited on the third day included Fox, Wider, Kasif, and BuonGiorno - each offering unique features that could cater to a range of client needs.
A Successful Business Mission
Goolets' presence at the Cannes Yachting Festival was a resounding success, marked by deepened cooperation, the strengthening of existing partnerships, and the creation of new opportunities. Our meetings with top-tier brokers and agencies laid the groundwork for future collaborations, while the in-person engagement reaffirmed our position as a trusted partner in the yachting industry.
The next steps include organizing online presentations, ensuring that brokers have easy access to our fleet information, and following up on the promising leads developed during the event. The future looks bright, and we are excited to continue building meaningful relationships with our partners across the globe.
