Spoil your taste buds with Captain's Dinner
A combination of good food, interesting company and fascinating stories.
What is a Captain's Dinner?
- A dinner when the captain joins you at your table.
- It is more luxurious, abundant, and special.
- On DELUXE GULETS, there is a dress code.
- It is a great opportunity to get more inside looks into gulet cruises, the crew, and the stories they share.
Why do people love Captain's dinners?
The food is outstanding, the atmosphere unforgettable, and the overall experience is well worth the investment. If you've chosen half-board (breakfast and lunch) for your cruise, make sure to reserve one night for the Captain's dinner. You will anchor far from the crowds, dine under the stars, and enjoy a truly memorable evening on board.
What if the captain is not a talkative person or you do not wish to mingle with the crew?
Both things can happen. If the captain is not a “talkative one” do not worry. He will join you during the dinner for a drink and leave you to enjoy your privacy. We will notify you about this before you book the Captain's dinner.
If you do not like to mingle with the crew it is also fine. You can still enjoy an “amazing captain's dinner” with very good food – and without the captain sitting with you at the table. All you need to do is notify us about this in advance.
Greek, Turkish, or Croatian Night combined with Captain's Dinner
In Turkey and Greece, a belly dancer can bring energy and magic to the evening, while in Croatia, the soulful sounds of "klape" music set the perfect mood. Pair it with local wines, spirits, and traditional cuisine, and maybe even join in for some lively regional dancing—it’s a night to remember, 100% rooted in local culture.
Prices for captain's dinners or “domestic night celebrations”
Prices depend on the gulet category and destination where you are cruising.
Classic prices for the captain's dinner range from € 30 per person and up to € 50 per person. Belly dancers and live music come extra on top of this and prices are “on request”. This has to be booked and organized before the start of your cruise.
